Just wanted to share...

..some of my favorite photos from today of Kati and Taylor! Summer is wrapping up, we bought a new pool on clearance for next year, so we had to get a little more time outside in before school starts! I love summer, but am looking forward to the changes of fall. How 'bout you?

Grandma's Love

This is a photo of my daughter Kati and her grandma (my MIL) at the beach when we went to Maine. They are so close to each other. I cut the edges of the layout myself and inked and stitched them. Sorry for the bad scan..the edges got cut off a bit! Everything here is Basic Grey leftover from the last card kit over at Treasured Scrapbooking. You sure get your mileage out of these kits! I highly recommend them. The Love stamp and big photo corner are Heidi Swapp.

Journaling:
Kati loves her grandma Kathy and has had a special bond with her since she was born. She would go right to her and want to be held. (even when she was tiny) Kati loves her "mugga". (That's what she calls her because she can't say grandma.) Maine-July 2007. LOL

Hope you are having a nice weekend! We are off to go get some ice cream at the drive inn. A big ole brownie sundae is waiting for me!

In love with American Crafts!

Oh boy! I am so in loooove! Totally in love with these papers and American Crafts products in general! Has anyone heard from them regarding the design team? I am anxiously awaiting...not that I will make it..I'm sure there were thousands of entries..but one can wish!! I love the fun colors and patterns they have. Beautiful products, indeed.

This is a very easy and fun card to make...here are the directions:
Cut paper 10" x 5" and fold in half for card. Punch circles from coordinating paper and attach. Adhere rub on. Cut balloon shape from felt. Attach with brad to ribbon. Twirl ribbon and attach with another brad to card.

Supplies used:
Paper: American Crafts, The Goods collection
Felt: Walmart (cut own balloon from felt)
Ribbon: Morex
Brads: JoAnn Scrap Essentials
Rub on: Creative Imaginations Swatch book, Memories

Have a great day! Danielle

Miracle baby card

Made this little card today for the Buttons and Babies call over at Paper Crafts. Hopefully they will like it! I'm so addicted to these clear buttons..I just can't get enough of them. They are so cool. (Click on each pic to see it larger.)

The papers are KI Memories and Basic Grey. I covered a Fancy Pants chipboard heart and frame with Diamond Dust after painting them white. I love the look of sparkly things lately. So much fun.

Leave me a comment and let me know a supply you are totally addicted to lately!

So Lucky..

Top o' the morn to you!

I feel so lucky this morning! I woke up early this morning with this idea in my head for one of the Paper Crafts calls, so I decided to get up and make it before the girls got up. The little hearts open out to reveal messages. It really got me thinking about how lucky I am in my life:

..my two precious girls who make me laugh everyday,
..a wonderful husband who is so devoted to his family,
..owning such a beautiful house and lot,
..ability to craft whenever I want to (not having to go to work!)
..fresh fall air is finally here, and lots lots more.

Hope you are feeling lucky in life too this morning!

Little Kati...

Heehee! No scrapbooking today..played outside with the girls and my new camera! I am having a blast with my new Rebel! Just wanted to stop in and share my favorite photo from today of my little Kati. I know..she looks nothing like me with her blond hair and blue eyes! Her hair is getting so long, finally after 2 years..and still curly! We were a little hair challenged for awhile there! :) Anyhoo, can't wait to scrap this one, not sure how yet, but hopefully I will come up with something as cute as she is. (I'm a little biased, I know.) Thanks for visiting me today!

Aaaahhh...

I had some peace and quiet today while hubby took my older daughter over to swim at Grandma's house! Gotta love alone time once in awhile. I managed to make a lil project for a call that I wanted to submit to. We went to a wedding last night and received these cute little boxes with corkscrews in them..so I turned them into gift boxes for babies! They were black, so I painted them white, leaving a little black to show the texture of the cool boxes, and then added a felt bottom for softness. These could be used to fill with binkies, gift cards, baby trinkets, and/or attached to a soft afghan for a lovely baby gift. I have several friends who will be having babies soon, so these might just come in handy! Thanks for taking a peek!

MIA...

So sorry I have been missing lately! We took a much needed vacation to Maine to the ocean for a week. And right before we left, my computer was down. Turns out it was just a power supply, so I am back up and running now!
Thought I'd add a few of my fave pics from the trip...there were so many that I liked, it is soooo hard to decide which ones to share! My wonderful dh finally let me talk him into getting me a Canon Rebel XT SLR camera, so I was seriously "picture happy" during the vacation!! My father-in-law joked that my 2 year old wouldn't know how to walk without a camera flashing in her face..ha. He's a card. What I love most about this camera is that it is so fast, no longer are my photos blurry..I get crisp, clear pictures, up-close details, and even water drops in action! Yaaaay!
Anyhow, the girls loved the water...Kati wasn't too afraid of it, but Taylor a little more cautious. DH and I had fun boogie boarding in the afternoon when the waves were bigger. The hard part about vacationing with a 2 year old is that they still need naps! All in all, we had a lovely time and are glad to be back home safe and sound (and have time to scrap again! :). Hope you had a wonderful week as well.
Danielle

The girls and I
Kati didn't much care for the "grass" she called it!

Sand, sand everywhere! Not so good when you are eating M&M's!

Taylor eating chips.

Whoa!

Dig, dig..

Taylor posing for me (which doesn't happen very often!)

DH loves to boogie board.
It's fun when the wave takes you all the way up the beach!
