I have been busy!

Boy, do I have lots to share today! My first design team kits (yes, I received TWO!) came from Create My Keepsake and they are delish!! I created a card and topiary from the main kit and a Halloween mini album and treat bag from the Halloween mini kit so far and have lots left! Total yumminess! The celebrate card was made with Inspire Me Card Kits' Sept. kit (Scenic Route and Basic Grey). I added the ribbon, not included.

I am just trying to recover.. as Thursday evening after I put Kati to bed on my way down the stairs, I fell and twisted my foot horribly! My ankle has been very swollen and sore, but today I am finally able to walk on it as long as I don't put all my weight on it. Could have been worse, I guess! My laundry is piling up, so I need to go catch up with things now! Wishing you a wonderful weekend.

I'm on cloud 9!

I had such a wonderful day yesterday! We spent the afternoon with my in-laws hanging out and having a wonderful dinner together. Then when I arrived home, I received the best news!! I made it on the Create My Keepsake design team to design for their kit club!! I love this site and have to admit it's my very favorite place to be on the internet, the scrappers and design team there are so, so very talented!!! Rebecca's kits are so innovative and gorgeous. I'm a little overwhelmed..hopefully I can keep up with the other girls!! She actually chose 2 of us and the other one is Cathy Pascual (whose designs I ADORE..her little girl is so precious)! You can see her work here.

I will leave you with a few cards made for Treasured Scrapbooking with their September card kit! (3 Bugs in a Rug, Chalk Garden line) Yummy! Get one while they last! Oh, I almost forgot...I chose a winner randomly for my 3000 hits give-away and the winner is.......MELONIE!!

3000!

I can't believe I've had 3000 hits on my blog! In honor of that, I'd like to have a small give-away! Just leave me a comment and I will choose someone by this Sunday for a little RAK from me. Just my way to thank you for coming to visit me and letting me share my work! It means so much to me.

I'd like to share a couple of layouts too..I know, they are two totally different styles! I received some Hambly in the mail that I won on their blog, so I HAD to try it out! (transparencies) Aren't they cool? And the top one is just a little layout I made of Kati from last fall. I just found a shirt at Baby Gap for her the other day that really inspired me. Not to mention the yummy paper and photo corner from Melissa Frances that I used on it. Mmmm..I have got to get me more of that stuff!

Oh, and if you aren't too busy this weekend..stop by Treasured Scrapbooking for a Cyber Crop! We will have tons of challenges, prizes and fun make-n-takes for you! Hope to see you there!

I am in the mood...

for a wedding! Yesterday I worked on a couple of wedding cards..I liked both colors and couldn't decide which one I liked best, so I will post both of them! I ADORE these Melissa Frances products..the papers, little frames, and swirlies are so beautiful. I finally found them at the Scrappy Gourmet! (The service is awesome there too, by the way!!) All of the rub ons are from the Creative Imaginations' Memories rub on book except the "love awaits" saying which is 7 Gypsies. I'm so excited that we are finally getting some precipitation..we really needed it here. Puts me in the mood to scrap too!
Happy Monday,

A friend like no other...

Since I haven't scrapped in awhile... as we getting adjusted to our new "back to school" schedule again...I thought I would share a little card I made awhile back. Papers are One Heart One Mind..cute stuff! I have been working on a few cards I can't share quite yet, but other than that I've been slacking a little in the scrappy department! I think I might be getting sick, but I hope not. Have a great weekend everyone!

Ready for school?

I am!! Taylor and I made hybrid covers for her composition notebooks the other day. She sat and told me where to put everything in Photoshop and did the swirl on the butterfly by herself with a star brush..I think I have a future crafter on my hands! We just attached them to the front with a tape runner. Tomorrow we are going to go see her classroom and have a last play date before school starts with her best buddy, Makayla, so it should be packed full of fun. She has the same teacher that Makayla had last year, how exciting. I can't wait to dress her up in her cute lil skirt and take lots of first day pics! I think I want to go back to school too!

Need a challenge?

Come on over to Treasured Scrapbooking! We have tons of challenges every month, and when you create something and post it in the correct forum there, you will be entered into the drawing at the end of the month for a prize from TS!

My challenge: For September I found a neat ad that really caught my eye! Use this ad for inspiration to create a card, layout or project. Feel free to use anything about the ad...colors, shape, etc....whatever inspires you! HAVE FUN!!

Here is the ad:

and here is my take on the ad. I turned it into a card and used circles instead of squares:

Wishing you a safe holiday weekend!
